The Bin Mob: online bin hire bookings for Darwin and rural NT

Our approach

We spent the first month on research rather than design. By talking with the team and reviewing how customers were already booking, we found that households, builders, rural properties and commercial sites each ask very different questions, so we wrote content for each customer type instead of one generic services page. A bin size guide and clear lists of accepted and restricted waste came directly from the most common phone enquiries. The booking form was designed to capture everything the team needs in one go: bin size, service type, preferred date and site address, with an instant email notification for each request. The site was built in WordPress with Gutenberg and reusable blocks, then tested end to end, from the first click to a booking landing in the inbox, before launch.
