Where we are at
We have no roles open at the moment. That is not a reflection on you: we are a small team and we hire when a project needs another pair of hands, then we post it here first.
In the meantime, the places below list good work across the Territory and remote Australia, and the notes after them are what we would tell a friend who is looking.
Where to look
Roles worth your time
- Seek↗The biggest board in Australia; filter by Northern Territory and the ICT category.
- LinkedIn Jobs↗Set an alert for the roles you want, and let recruiters know you are open.
- NT Government jobs↗Digital, data and ICT roles across the Territory public sector.
- Indeed↗Worth a second alert; smaller studios often post here first.
- Ethical Jobs↗Not-for-profits and community organisations, many of them Territory-based.
- Charles Darwin University↗Research and teaching roles, plus student and graduate programs.
While you look
- 01
Build one thing and finish it
A small project that works, with a readme and a link, says more than a long list of skills. Ship it, then talk about what you learned.
- 02
Write to people, not inboxes
Find the person who would be your manager and send them two paragraphs: what you have built, and why their team. Most hires still start with a conversation.
- 03
Keep a steady routine
An hour a day on applications and an hour on your craft beats a frantic week followed by silence. The search is a season, not a sprint.
- 04
Talk to someone
Looking for work is hard on anyone. Tell a friend how it is going, or ring Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636 if it gets heavy. You are not behind.
Hear first
New roles are posted on this page and on our LinkedIn the same day. Follow along, check back, and when something opens the application is a short form, not a cover letter.
